Dr Nishat Thokan is a qualified Otorhinolaryngologist (Ear Nose & Throat surgeon).
She completed her undergraduate medical degree at the University of the Witwatersrand. Her internship was done at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital. Dr Thokan then worked in general surgery, paediatric surgery, trauma and ICU before commencing her postgraduate surgical training in ENT. Dr Thokan trained at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital, Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital and Helen Joseph Hospital. She obtained her Masters degree in Otorhinolaryngology from the University of the Witwatersrand. She also completed her fellowship in Otorhinolaryngology -FCORL(SA) from the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa (CMSA).
